These committees are a function of our new bylaws, where they are defined only by title. Now we have an opportunity to further define them and determine their goals and objectives. At the annual meeting, we had sign up sheets, and a few members volunteered to be on specific committees. Participate. Speak. Make your feelings known. Silence means assent. The next TRUE meeting will be at Nationals. It would be great if the committees could be ready to propose a work plan by then. Dear Secretary Woodard: I am volunteering to serve on the Professional Development subcommittee. I am a research scientist and university professor. In addition, I have studied pedagogy and curriculum development. I have experience developing and implementing university Masters and PhD programs and training students in thyose programs in biology.
