Re: Nominating and Governence Committee Vote
Got this very prompt note from Mr. Askinas in response to my query re:Voting status

Dear Ms. Woodard:

We have been researching your issue with HangAStar to find out why you
did not receive a ballot. There appears to have been a HangAStar
error/computer glitch that allowed you to continue registration without
declaring an affiliation for voting. That would explain why the system
only gave us a certain amount of eligible voters.

We are looking at solutions that will probably include reopening the
election for a set period of time and giving notice to those similarly
situated members. We have more research to do before we finalize the
remedy. Please watch the website on Monday for an important update on
this matter.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to correct this problem in
short error. We are committed to fair and honest elections and want to
ensure that every member that wants to vote will have his or her vote
counted.

Sincerely,

David M. Askinas

Re: Nominating and Governence Committee Vote
As you can see, the USAT plans to correct this issue. It does seem like it would be a good idea if any who did not receive a ballot, or who received it too late, contacted the USAT so they may get a clear idea of the full scope of the problem.

Re: Nominating and Governence Committee Vote
Forwarding from Chuong Pham-Candidate, Nominating and Governence Committee:

All,

Regardless of how you voted in this election, I think we all share the view that we wanted a fair election with everyone's vote counted. We have found evidence that the vote may not have been fair, either by a computer glitch or by ballots not being received in time. If you did not receive a ballot or did not receive it in time, I want to encourage you, whether you intend to vote for me or not, to contact the USAT office and let them know this. Again, as members and officials of the new USA Taekwondo organization, we all desire that a USAT election be a fair, just and impartial event.

Re: Nominating and Governence Committee Vote

The USAT office promptly fixed my voting status in the HangAStar system and emailed me a ballot.  I promptly sent the ballot in.  Deadline is now the 25th for them to be received.

Looks like the election issues are being resolved appropriately.  It's good to have this snafu out of the way before the upcoming election for Referee Director (and Grassroots Director) too.
