Any Color mouthguard?

The USAT published their 'Equipment Standards' today.

http://www.usa-taekwondo.us/EQUIPMENTSTANDARDS.pdf

It states in there that Mouth guards may be any color. Is this a new rule with the WTF? I thought one of the main purposes of making them clear or white, was for safety (mainly so the center referee could see blood, if present).

What are your thoughts on this? Is this a mistake in publishing, or a change in rule?

Re: Any Color mouthguard?
The WTF Competition Rules are clear on this matter, stating that only clear or white mouthguards are allowed. USAT has chosen to go with a different ruling regarding this matter. As I understand it, any mouthguard will be allowed (for now). It is my humble opinion that the safety of the competitor should always be the driving issue in matters like this. After all, isn't the chic motto "Athletes First?"...
