I was getting in a little ref practice at my son's studio.  When we got home he was complaining that when I restarted the match after he went over the boundry line that I did not make enough room for him.  He claims he was in the jam when they restarted.  I thnk thery were more like 1 foot apart.  I looked through the rule book and didn't see this issue specifically addressed, although I recall it being addressed during seminars.  How much room should you make between the competitors?  Thanks Anne Jackson
