CX3
Forwarding from Eric Lauren:
Indy Taekwondo Academy Carmel is in the final planning stages for The 3rd Annual Circle City Championships (CX3) Tournament which will be held in the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. We are in the process of recruiting officials to make 2006 CX3 a premier event for officials, athletes, coaches and families.
We realize the key factor to a successful event is qualified, dedicated referees. To create a quality experience for our referees, we are offering the following for all referees that work 2006 CX3.
A FREE USAT Referee Seminar on Friday night.
Free dinner for Referee seminar attendees
One night shared hotel room at the host hotel (for out of town guests)
Transportation to and from the airport (if needed)
2006 CX3 Referee Shirt
Free Breakfast Buffet at the host hotel the day of the event
Meals throughout the competition day
We appreciate the efforts of all referees. The commitment and dedication needed to be a Taekwondo referee often times goes unnoticed. I want to thank all officials for their efforts both past and present. I look forward to providing you with the most enjoyable referee experience and the most cost effective one also at this year’s CX3
The EXPLANATION OF RULES AND SCORING will begin Saturday, August 26th at 8:30am. Re: CX3
More forwarding from Eric. He's too shy to post these himself...
Dear Athletes, Coaches, Masters, Officials, Guests and Parents,
I would like to personally invite you to attend the 3rd Annual Circle City Taekwondo Championships (CX3) at the Convention Center located in Indianapolis, IN on the 25th - 26th of August 2006. The registration and credential pick-up will begin on Friday the 25th with the competition taking place the following day. This event will be pre-registration only. Registration will be available until Friday the 25th at 9 p.m. at the convention center.
Once again I have spared no expense in making CX3 a premiere level event for all of our Athletes, Coaches, Masters, Officials, Guests and Parents. In an effort to maximize your experience at CX3 I am once again paying for our referee’s to attend a referee seminar so that they may be best prepared to offer you a level of officiating that exceeds your typical “local” tournament.
The following is a list of what I promised and delivered on for last years CX3 and will deliver on once again this year:
For Athletes: Medals for all competitors. 10m x 10m matted competition areas. Electronic Ringmaster scoring systems. International and National level referees that will do their best to provide you with as fair a competition as possible human error allows. Tag Team Sparring with CA$H prizes. Double Elimination for 14-17 and 18-32 Black Belts.
For Coaches, Masters: One (1) FREE coach’s pass for every ten competitors you bring. One (1) FREE nights stay at the host hotel for every ten competitors you bring. International and National level referees that will do their best to provide you with as fair a competition as human error allows. An opportunity to challenge that human error in a courteous and professional manner if it does occur and be able to have your challenge once found valid reflect in the result. Most importantly, the peace of mind that the parents and competitors that you bring to this event will return back to your school having had a great experience to speak of.
For Officials, Referees: A FREE USAT Referee Seminar. Dinner for the seminar attendees Friday night. One (1) FREE nights stay shared with another official/referee at the host hotel. Meals throughout the competition day. A CX3 Referee shirt. Candy and water at the rings.
For Guests and Parents: Your child will not go home empty handed. Every competitor will receive a medal. Ring side seats that will put you close to the action. An event that runs as efficiently and smoothly as humanly possible. An event that you will look forward to attending year after year.
Last year we had incredible athletes competing such as:
Current and Past National Team Members: Stephen Lambdin, Brian Gallagher, Eleni Koutsilianos, Simone Devito and Josh Coleman.
Current and Past Junior National Team Members: Kristen Frisch, Lauren Katz, Bernard Posey, Maia Eubanks, Nicole Sutter, John Perieda and Dennis Rudasill.
Other top level athletes in the country: Amir Killah, John Kimmich, Adriel Gray, Carman Gray, Larry Lucas, Darcy Kimmich, Ethan Woodson, Steven Lin, John Esche, Ryan Hubbs, Aziza Chambers, Alexis Goldman and many many more.
I have confirmed the return of the Colorado State team; anticipate the return of the athletes mentioned above along with the addition of other top teams in the country at this year’s CX3.
I look forward to seeing all of you on August 26th! If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at cx3@indytkd.com or call (317)569-KICK.
Respectfully,
Eric Laurin
