Refereeing opportunities in CA this 2007-2008 season
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Here's the schedule of upcoming refereeing opportunities this 2007-2008 season in the state of California:

2007-2008 PacWest Taekwondo Conference schedule:
Dec. 1: UCSD hosts Davis and UCLA
Jan. 12: Stanford hosts CSUEB and UCLA
Jan. 26: CSUEB hosts UCSD and Cal
Feb. 16: Davis hosts CSUEB and USC
Mar. 1: UCLA hosts USC and Cal
Mar. 15: Cal hosts Stanford and Davis
Apr. 5: USC hosts Stanford and UCSD
All PacWest meets are currently scheduled to be held from around 1 to 3 PM on Saturdays. January 12 will mark the historic first for us to hold a meet using the TrueScore electronic hogu for scoring, with no confirmation from judges except for head scores. Please keep in mind that all PacWest referees receive $50 per meet as a token of appreciation. PacWest meets are relatively short (2 rings, 2 hours max), well organized with only black belt collegiate sparring competitors, and often come with a fun and relaxing after-party for the referees by the host school.

**I still urgently need some referees for this Saturday's (Dec. 1) meet at UC San Diego.** Please contact me (vlo@cs.stanford.edu) right away if you can help us, or know anyone who can.

Apr. 11-13: USAT National Qualifier at Fresno
As we all know, USAT will pay all appointed USAT-certified referees $50 per day as well as food and hotel lodging.

Apr. 25, 26: NCTA Championships at Stanford
Appointments will be made depending on skills and experience of referee applicants. Food and hotel lodging will be provided. I'm working on offering a nominal honorarium for all referees.

May 31: Stanford Taekwondo Spring Open
Food and hotel lodging will be provided.

Please let me know right away if you will be able to referee at any of these events! And feel free to forward this to anyone who may be interested in officiating.

Thanks,
Vincent Lo
