Upcoming Referee Camp by Jenny

We need some input from you.

TRUE has found a way to have a Referee camp in Michigan. We’ve located a hotel and a venue for the training that would be available within the budget.

The referee Co-chairs have indicated that they would be happy to hold the camp anywhere, provided that enough people would be interested in attending somewhere other than Colorado Springs. We are asking for you to let them know if in fact there are enough folks on the eastern side of the country who would be willing to pay $150, give up a weekend and travel to Michigan to attend the referee camp sometime in June.

Even more kudos to Victoria Serbin for the very nice article in the most recent WTF-Taekwondo. Well deserved recognition for someone who has certainly paid 'it' backwards and forwards.

Vicky was one of the first people to welcome me as a referee, back in 1993, when I was a terrified, brand new D-3. Her kindness kept me in the ring. Thanks Vicky and Congratulations.

The website is intended to give referees a voice and source of reliable information on referee issues, rules, etc. To that end, all are encouraged to sign their posts and refrain from hiding behind their screen names. Readers are encouraged to view with skepticism any postings that are not signed.

It simply means that no postings will be allowed that negatively discuss specific persons or organizations, in other words no personal attacks. If you can't think of a constructive way to make comments, find somewhere else to make them. This is a friendly open forum to discuss referee related issues.
