Festivals...
Closer to the venue, in fact only a couple of miles away, we will find the Comerica CityFest 2008 (www.newcenter.com/cityfest/info.htm). Running from July 2 thru the 6th from 11:30 am to 11 pm, Detroit will bring you the best of food, music and entertainment, for FREE!
Alas we will miss the amazing display of fireworks over the Detroit river. Detroit shares its Independence Day celebration with its neighbor to the South (yes, south) Canada. The traditional (for Michigan) Freedom Festival celebration occurs on June 23rd. Bummer.
