2. Professional development;
In order to improve the professional performance of our members, TRUE works with the USAT Referee leadership by assisting with or augmenting referee training efforts.
3. Recruitment;

I wish you all well in Detroit this summer. I have taken a leave of absence to help with the neverending diaper derby as well as the occassional break for my wife in between feedings. Here are some quick thoughts regarding the direction of TRUE at the annual meeting.

I would love to see more involvment with discussions on this board. I think the board flourished quite well when Master Bruce Harris served as our Ref Doctor, answering questions and offering a few tidbits for discussion. It would be nice to see someone else step up to the plate on a consistent basis. If no one else wants the job, I could always come up with some fairly common scenarios we see at our local tournaments and offer them up once in a while.

The other thing I'd like to see would be some videos of matches on the TRUE website so that we could critique or compliment the center referee as necessary. The WTF has several videos of recent events that would be good for discussions. I don;t want this to turn into a forum for putting down Bob, but praising Mark; just a another way we can view referees in action without having to all be in person.

Again, enjoy all the big city of Detroit has to offer and I'll see you all in a ring again soon.

Mike
We talked about you. Especially about all of the mini-Mikes you sent to us. At one point I had 3 referees from Alaska in my ring, all younger than my favorite pair of jeans. No one can say Alaska isn't providing its share of referees.

Funny you should say that about the videos. This is exactly the approach we are hoping to take with the videos Bernard took and will take in the future. We are consulting with the website God, Scott, regarding the possibilities of such postings.
